I'm going to tell you this game is more fun than it should be. As it says on the box this game is for those who are into kittens and explosions.
Exploding Kittens is the most backed project in Kickstarter history. It's received award after award and I'll tell you they've earned every single one.
How do you play?
Exploding Kittens this highly-strategic, kitty-powered version of Russian Roulette how do we play?
Players draw cards until someone draws an Exploding Kitten, at which point they explode, they are dead, and they are out of the game -- unless that player has a Defuse card, which can defuse the Kitten.
All of the other cards in the deck are used to move, mitigate, or avoid the Exploding Kittens.

I have spent hours playing this game over a great IPA and lord it just keeps getting better. There is just something really really satisfying when your friend draws that exploding kitten with nothing in reserve to stop it.
Since it's launch this game has made nearly every Christmas and holiday more enjoyable than it would have been without it.
Exploding Kittens is wonderful as an icebreaker for your game night.
If you're like me you might have a wide variety of friends ranging from people. Somes people play lots and lots of games, others not so much. So we need a way to get both of those groups on board and loosened up.
Exploding Kittens and a solid IPA, might I recommend Golden Monkey, can really get everyone gelling for the evening. Your friends that don't play very often will love how easy the game is to learn and game friends

Variations
Exploding Kittens has been so successful that they've made variations on the game as well.
For example, if you are more interested in a more adult game they have their NSFW (not safe for work) version. This version is full of naughty mechanics that spice up the game.
