Parasyte the Maxim Synopsis
Part "Attack of the Body Snatchers" part "The Thing" Parasyte the Maxim starts strong and leaves me wanting more so keep your eyes on this guy I think it's going to get better and better.Parasyte starts and within 30 seconds a dude's head bursts wide open to reveal a head full of teeth and eyes. If you have ever played the Dead Space video game series or seen John Carpenter's "The Thing" then you know the kind of messed up brutal scenes that are in store for you.

Our hero, Shinichi, has a dream that a snake burrowed into his arm but it was really an alien parasite that failed to take over the whole body.

At first, our intrepid parasite really can't communicate with Shinichi. He speaks in simple sentences at first with a comically high-pitched and slurry voice that helps to disarm you.
Another parasite, who took control of a dog, wants to kill Shinichi after discovering that he knew about the parasites. Shinichi parasite and dog parasite fight briefly before Shinichi's parasite rips out the dog's heart and tears it to shreds.
In this episode, we are also shown bits and pieces that let us know that more and more people are being infested by these parasites.
Several times during the show the camera will pull away to a character that has just been taken over trying to imitate the TV.
Basically learning how to drive its new body.
The show also hints that the parasites are responsible for many gruesome murders around the county but the police still don't suspect a thing and why would they.
Again I recommend keeping an eye on this series and we'll see where it takes us.

How Shinichi's parasite spends its time
While Shinichi sleeps the parasite spends the night reading books after somehow teaching itself Japanese, which we'll gloss over, and cannot speak very well albeit with the same high pitch voice. Then the horrible blood bathes begin and you realize that this thing is a killer pure and methodical.Another parasite, who took control of a dog, wants to kill Shinichi after discovering that he knew about the parasites.
