One Punch Man Synopsis
Saitama is a guy who is a hero for fun. That’s the intro description for one of this year’s runaway hits One Punch Man.
A hero so overpowered that no one can survive more than one punch from him. One punch man takes a simple premise and uses it as a launching point for a great discussion on Anime.
What first struck me about One Punch Man was the humor that starts the series and persists all the way through.
Saitama is constantly in search of an opponent that will take more than one punch to defeat and dejected facial expressions when they fail to live up to that goal are gold.

One Punch Man is definitely worth your time
One of the things that really grabbed my attention was the killer intro song, "ONE PUNCH MANNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!" When that intro kicks in, it's impossible not to feel pumped up. While it might not be the absolute best anime intro song, I think it definitely ranks in the top ten.

So what’s awesome about One Punch Man?
So should we start by talking about the solid and bold style or the smooth top anime fight scenes? Why not both cause I just brought them up.
The style of One Punch Man is so apparent and defining that you can immediately identify it.
If you were to hold up a One Punch Man character or scene I think that it would be fairly easy to say “Yes, that is One Punch Man”.

I once read that one of the tests of good character design is if you put the character in silhouette could you still identify them and a ton of One Punch Man characters pass that test in spades.
One Punch Man Started as a Webcomic
Another awesome thing about One Punch Man that I didn’t know until recently is that One Punch Man has its origin as a webcomic that was made into a Manga and eventually released as an Anime series.
I feel like that makes this series even more interesting and adds value to it knowing that this is a grassroots anime so to speak.
So many animes are so branded and packaged nowadays due to the hyper-competitive nature of the anime industry.
If you’ve spent any time watching anime you’ll have come across series whose sole purpose was to sell the doll or to promote the game or for others it’s nothing but fanservice filler.

The anime is full of delicious satire
One Punch Man is so honest in its satire of classic anime tropes and sequences that it makes all those series look even sillier than they already are.
So why should we care about One Punch Man? Do you like awesome anime fights? Do you enjoy good satire? Do you enjoy pointed humor? Well, then buddy here is an anime for you.
Should you watch One Punch Man?
It’s a fun ride from start to finish with humor, integrity, and heart. I would definitely recommend it for fans of anime. Newcomers might not get as much value from it since they won’t be able to catch all the references and nods to past animes but it is still as decent a entry point as any.
Again the series is a good value. You’ve got good humor paired with excellent fight scenes and character designs.
The series is also very approachable as the 1st season is only 12 episodes long so you aren’t looking to dump a significant portion of your life into the series.

Pick it up and enjoy the ride with ONE PUNCH MAN!!!!!!!!!!
