Spy X Family is a mix of Three's Company and James Bond with Mr. & Mrs. Smith thrown in for seasoning. This anime is so wonderfully wholesome at times that I adore it. The humor is good, the action when it happens is crisp and kinetic and the misunderstandings heighten the comedy. At it's heart Spy X Family is a Cold War slice of life spy thriller. That's a lot of genre's for a blender pitch but there you have it. The comedy really shines in the interpersonal misunderstandings and chaotic relationships between the 3 main characters Anya, Loid, and Yor. Highlights Yuri is My Job is an anime about a girl that wants everyone to love her and to believe that she has no faults, Hime Shiraki is the main character of Yuris is my job Hime ends up working as a waitress at a place that is part café, part theater, where all the waitresses pretend to be students at a fictional all-girls boarding school known as Liebe Girls Academy While pretty Yuri is My Job! is also predictable and middle of the road. It neither runs entirely into predictable tropes nor has the momentum to break from a mold. "Yuri is my job!" is an anime that follows the journey of a high schooler who is determined to win over every person she meets. Food Wars: Culinary Battleground

Food Wars Review Food Wars aka Shokugeki no Soma. Who would have guessed a shōnen show about food competitions would make for an entertaining anime? Not this guy I had no idea what I was getting into when I first started to watch I was ready to write the whole show off as another softcore adolescent hormone-filled romp but there are actually some genuine nuggets of quality mixed in there if you're willing to have a good sense of humor and not take it too seriously. I'm not going to lie this show's weekly episode sparked more than one trip to the local grocery store for ingredients to try some new food. The food in this show just looks so damn tasty that it makes you want to eat it and makes you think "Yeah yeah I could totally make that". The meat looks juicy and tender, the veggies look crisp and delectable, and the deserts are as sinfully decadent as you can imagine. The sensation reminded me of watching Teenage Mutant...
